Hello, this is Kubo. In September 2021, I held my first yoshiokubo show in Tokyo in a long time, and in an attempt to wow people, I used a female model for the first time. Thanks to the help of stylist Mita and others, I felt it worked well, so I continued with it last time.

■ A masterpiece that women will love too
Gender boundaries are becoming blurred worldwide, more than I ever imagined. Oversized clothing that hides the silhouette is still in fashion. At home, I often wear loose pants with tight tops, or lots of volume in both my tops and bottoms.

So, this time we had a female model wear the clothes and did a shoot for the e-commerce site for the first time. Of course, the clothes are made for men, but they are items that women can wear, and the styling is such that they look cool even when worn by women.

For example, when it comes to items, like shirts, I'm very particular about the height of the collar. It's not like a necktie collar, but a flat collar. For women, I think it's like fastening the top button.

The pants also have the now-common elastic waistband, so they can be worn loosely even at a high waist. The shorts are big, but they can be worn like culottes. A-line shorts are surprisingly hard to find, so I made them. I'm thinking about making some really big shorts next.
