Yoshiokubo 's Daruma dolls have been released one by one since 2021 , and in 2025 , Shigeta Daruma has created new colored Daruma dolls.

This marks the fourth year already ... but 2024 has been a year full of darumas, with the release of a limited edition daruma design in conjunction with THE NEW ORDER to coincide with the special book compiled to commemorate the 20th anniversary, and the release of mini darumas exclusively for sale at the museum shop in the special exhibition " LOVE Fashion - When I Dress Myself" (organized by the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto and the Kyoto Costume Institute ( KCI )).

For Yoshiokubo , it seems like "celebrations = Daruma" now.

However, the 2025 edition, while still keeping in mind the usual yoshiokubo- esque transitions, has a slightly different feel, with a solid finish using only gray rather than blocking out two colors.

 People have said that the coloring of past Daruma dolls is "uncharacteristic of a Daruma doll," but this reflects the idea that what makes a Daruma doll fashionable is that it "feels strange for a moment."

For this reason, I thought it would be interesting to display it as interior décor in a place that is "unlike a Daruma." I'm not sure what to say when someone asks, "Where is a place that is "unlike a Daruma," but I have one displayed in my office, as shown in the photo.
