Following on from last week, this week we focused on items from the 2024 Spring/Summer collection that can be enjoyed by simply wearing one piece, and spoke to yoshiokubo's planning staff about their appeal and key points.

Twist Sleeve Shirt Blouson
-Why did you choose this shirt jacket?
Now that the weather is getting warmer, this is a versatile piece that I would recommend.
-What's the first point?
The yoke part is a bit unique.
The yoke is the part of the shirt that joins the shoulders to the back.
The yoke is designed with the wearer in mind, with a rounded shape to fit the shape of the shoulders and make it comfortable to wear. However, when it comes to clothing, the shoulder area is also a part that bears stress as you move. For this reason, two layers are often used to make it stronger, but the TWIST SLEEVE SHIRT BLOUSON we're introducing today has an interesting structure.
As you can see in the photo above, the yoke is hollow from the back to the front. The two layers of fabric underneath are made of mesh material like that used in sportswear, and the cotton layer on top of that gives it strength while also allowing the wind to pass through, keeping you cool. In other words, it's a shirt blouson that combines the role of a traditional yoke with the comfort required for modern spring and summer clothing. 
-What's the second point?
This shirt blouson also has two layered sleeves. The inner sleeve has a normal pattern, while the outer sleeve has a pattern that twists inwards. This season's theme is "Kondaku - Cool and refreshing clothes that waver and overlap", so what if we incorporated the image of "objects appearing distorted through glass" into clothing? That's what we came up with in the twisted sleeve design.
So if you take a quick peek at the inside, you'll see that the sleeves are plain. When you actually put your hands through the sleeves, it's just like putting on a regular shirt, and there's no feeling of the twisted fabric being baggy. 
-About the overall design and style
I would recommend wearing this with sandals in the coming season. The hem is long enough to reach the hips at the back, and the deep round cut makes it easy to put your hands in the pockets.
Since it's a shirt jacket, I hope you'll tuck it out and enjoy the relaxed fit.
